３連休まとめ　～百姓体験と鎌倉紅葉狩り～

　この11/23～25にかけては世間的には３連休。私も世の流れのままに３連休であったわけだ。

　連休初日には小旅行に出かけ、そして、最終日の今日は鎌倉に行くのだとかちょいちょい語ってきていたので、あぁ、どっかに出かけたんだなと推測がついている読者のみなさんも多いと思いのではないだろうか。で、結局どこに何しに行ったの？という部分があいまいなので、とりあえずこの３連休のまとめをしておこうと思う。

　私たち夫婦は、なんだかんだで公私ともに忙しく一緒に出かける時間が取れなかったので、どうやらお互いに時間がつけられるこの３連休は日常の雑事を忘れて、どこかに行こうと心に期していたのである。

　そこで、連休初日に行ったのが、茨城県は筑波山のふもとの八郷にあるマナ農園である。ここからは、最近よく有機野菜を箱買いして送ってもらっていて、そのことはこの一語りでも語ってきているが、その縁もあり、農業体験をさせていただけるということで、その農園を訪れた次第であったのだ。

　それが、今日の一語り: 旅に出ていますや今日の一語り: 旅からの帰りで語ってきた日帰り旅であったのだ。

　農業体験だから、現地には早く着きたい部分もあり、仕事明け休み初日の朝ではあるが、午前中の移動になった次第。それでも妻も私も疲れがたまっていたか、予定より１時間遅れの移動になってしまったが、住まいのある神奈川県から茨城県の内陸のやや奥の方

　マナ農園の主たる「おつけん」さんは自分が有機野菜の「百姓」であると自称されているので、百姓体験というのがしっくりくるかもしれない。

　いつも買っている箱の発送袋詰めを手伝った後、里芋掘りの体験。

　これは体験と言えば聞こえはいいが、里芋掘りは、観光農園等で遊びとしてできるサツマイモ掘りとはわけが違って、かなりの重労働的なものであった。というのも、おつけんさん曰く、里芋は泥っぽい湿気の多い土によく育つので、そういうところに植える次第。基本的には芋掘りトラクターが掘り起こしてくれる里芋には土が一杯付いていて、しかも重い。大の男がうんせっと持ち上げなければだめであるし、下手すると腰を痛めるくらい。それを軽トラに積んでいく作業。長靴とゴム手袋を借りて、泥だらけになりながらやる作業であった。

　でも、妻も私も、これぞ百姓体験の醍醐味と充足感にひたれた次第。なんで・・・体験ということで、本当に軽い作業の体験だけだったら意味ないじゃんというわけで。

　もちろん、妻はあまり力がないので、重いものは私。でも、二人合わせて一人力くらいかな・・・というくらいのお手伝いであったが。

　それでも、このお百姓さんの汗がしみこんだ作物をゆめゆめおろそかにできないと、体で感じられた一日は本当に貴重だった。

　それが、今日の一語り: 旅からの帰りで語った帰りの車中でのビールのうまさにつながっていることは言うまでもない。単にキリンの新作がうまかっただけの話じゃないんだ。

　そのほか、おつけんさんが飼われているヤギを引っ張って納屋に入れたりという体験もさせていただいた。テレビを見ていてダッシュ村なんかにあこがれを抱く人がいるかもしれないが、それをこの手で体験できるのは非常なる贅沢で華かあろうか。

　そういうことで、怒濤のように過ぎた連休初日。マナ農園のおつけんさんご夫妻の温かい歓迎と、百姓実地体験、そしてお聞きした農業理論を持ち帰って、本当にためになる一日で大満足であった次第。２２時過ぎに家に帰着し、充足感にひたりながら一杯やって就寝。

　その翌日は、二人とも、本当にぐったりであった。妻は朝はよく寝ていたし、私は朝はそれなりに起きて、借りていたDVDで映画を見たりしていたが。これは韓国映画の「トンマッコルへようこそ」という映画であったが、これは本当にいい映画で感動したり。でも、お昼ご飯を食べたら、寝てしまったりしていたよ・・・夕方まで、４時間くらい泥のように眠ってしまった。

　だから、連休２日目は休養専一な一日であったわけだ。

　お百姓さんはこれが毎日なわけだから、大変である。これからは米や野菜に足を向けられない気持ちで一杯になっている。

　ただ、三日目の今日ともなるとぐったりばかりはしていられないわけで、せっかくの連休である。もう一つの計画があった。

　そう、紅葉狩りである。

　１１月も後半となってくると、関東の各地でも紅葉が見頃になってくるわけだが、その中でも高名なのは古都・鎌倉である。

　ということで、いざ鎌倉とばかりに今日も行ってきた次第。

　いやー、混んでいたねぇ・・・というのが実感。

　鎌倉紅葉狩りツアーは諸処検討の結果、次のようなコースで。

　まずJR北鎌倉駅で下車。ここの読者さんで、久しぶりにメールをくれた地元の方のご推薦にて、北鎌倉 松花堂（鎌倉Today - 松花堂参照）にて「あがり羊羹」（午前中に売り切れてしまうこともある人気ものらしい）をすぐに購入。それから、源氏山公園へのハイキングコースをひたすら登山。登山という感じの山道であり、鎌倉はなめてはいけないという感じの本格的ハイクコースである。源氏山公園は紅葉の名所であり、行った時は、７分の紅葉という感じか。その他の鎌倉の紅葉はまだまだな感じの中、標高の高さのせいか、かなり見られる紅葉になっていた。そこから、かの有名な銭洗弁天に降りた後、鎌倉駅まで３０分程度の歩き。その後、首都圏通勤電車レベルに混雑している江ノ電で長谷まで移動。長谷寺に行く。ここは、標高が低いせいか、まだ紅葉はこれからという感じであったが、いろいろ見るべきものはたくさんある感じであった。その中の、お食事処海光庵でお茶をして一息入れて、また長谷駅から満員電車の江ノ電にて江ノ島まで。江ノ島に行くすがらの、稲村ヶ崎等の湘南の海岸を堪能。日没間近の江ノ島を見て帰った次第。

　紅葉から、古都見学から果ては海を見るまで欲張ったコースであったが、妻も私もがんばった次第。特に体力的には、妻ががんばったではなかろうか。

　こうやって、３日目は終わったわけだが、妻と結婚して、ここまで集中的に３連休を精力的に動いたこともあまりなかったので、充実感があふれる３日間であった。
